Our 9am service will run very similar to normal with a more extended time of community in the De Grey Rooms themselves afterwards and our 3pm service will be a more family friendly all age service with children’s provision.
We can’t wait for you to join us this summer at either of our services.
We are expecting high numbers at our 11am service this week due to Baptisms and so asking our church family to save their seats to ensure we stay in safe numbers within the building.
A chance for parents and small children to socialise together and build community within the church. We’re asking for a small contribution to the cost of the meal which will take place after the the 11am service.

This year we will be holding two services due to the numbers in De Grey Rooms. These will be at 9am and 11am. Both services will be the same with a talk from our curate, James Congreve-Horn. The service will be family-friendly with children’s activities, worship, prayer, communion and baptisms as we celebrate the amazing resurrection of Jesus.
Save your space for either service below.
Join us as we spend a Sunday dedicated to learning about the work of CAP and all that has been happening over the last year in our CAP Debt centre.
We have two guest speakers joining us that day:
9am and 11am - Alex Jones (Acting Director for Fundraising and Income)
Alex is a dedicated and visionary leader who has been instrumental in shaping CAP’s fundraising and income strategies since joining in 2017. With a strong belief in the inherent dignity and infinite worth of every individual, Alex is driven to create a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Alex firmly believes in the collective power of individuals working together to bring about positive change, be it through prayer, volunteering, advocacy, or giving. A Baptist by background and membership, he is passionate about church unity and celebrates the rich diversity of Christian expression across the world, eager to harness it to see lives transformed.
6pm - Peter Snell (Money Coaching Lead)
Peter first heard about Christians Against Poverty (CAP) when his church at the time, on the Isle of Wight, decided to partner with CAP to help local people locked in unmanageable debt. Ever since seeing it firsthand he’s been passionate at the way that CAP and the local church together can see lives, families and communities totally transformed, and how serving in this ministry transforms your own life too. Peter has worked at CAP for 9 years during which time he spent 2 years at CAP New Zealand as well as leading our National Speaker Team in the UK. He currently leads CAPs Money coaching network of over 500 churches, which, since 2008 has empowered over 80,000 adults to experience the freedom of feeling in control of their finances.
Our curate, Vicky Earll, will be moving to Hull ahead of our next church plant in Autumn. Vicky has been with us at The Belfrey for over three years and we are sad to see her go but excited for all she will bring to her new role in Hull.
Today will be her last day with us and so we will be praying for her across the day and celebrating her after all our services so whichever service you attend, please do stay and celebrate.
9am - Join her for cake at 9am coffee, after the service in Belfrey Hall.
11am - Join us for cakes and snacks after the service with music.
6pm - Join us for drinks after the service with cakes and snacks.
On New Years Eve we will be having just one relaxed service at 10am where we will be sharing communion together, worshipping and hearing from the Word. The service will last around an hour.
