Alpha is a series of conversations that looks into questions of life, faith and God. Each week you’ll join an in person group and watch a 25 minute video on various topics exploring the Christian faith, then afterwards chat with others and have honest and open discussions. Topics can vary from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

Join us for our launch evening on the 1st October where you can get a taste of the course. If you decide to join us for the whole course, we’ll then be running for 10 weeks each Tuesday in the De Grey Rooms from 7:30pm with one Saturday session in November (this is often people’s favourite part of the course!)

Dads and Little ‘Uns is starting back up again this year in Belfrey Hall.

It is open to all dads, grandads, godfathers and all father figures and for their children aged 0-10(ish). It is designed to offer the opportunity to spend more time with the kids and meet other dads whilst mum maybe has a lie in! There's free bacon butties, bottomless filter coffee and newspapers for the dads. Juice, biscuits, crafts and endless fun for the kids.

Come and learn more about the Alpha Course and what it's like to attend, ahead of this term's cohort. Alpha is a 10-week course run on Tuesday evenings, where we hear about one of life's big questions and have the chance to ask some of our own in a safe and welcoming environment. Weaving in the hope of Jesus, this is a great course to attend if you are new to Christianity or curious about it. Everyone is welcome, whether you're attending by yourself or with a group! Attending this Launch Night doesn't mean you have to do the whole course - just come and have a taste!

We're launching our Saturday Foodbank session at the start of February, in partnership with York Foodbank, to support people who are experiencing food poverty. Interested in being part of the team to make this happen? Come along to this information session to learn more about what is involved in being a foodbank volunteer. There'll be opportunity to ask questions and also to sign up to be part of the team to serve once a month or more. More details from Alison Dawson (alison.dawson@belfrey.org).

Join us to celebrate Christmas at this interactive, family-friendly service as we learn about the Christmas story together, telling it piece by piece and finishing with a beautiful candle-lit carol!

We'll be holding two Christingle services this year, one at 4pm and the second at 5:30pm. The 4pm is now fully-booked - we'd love to see you at the 5.30!

It’s a quiet contemplative service for those who might be struggling during this time or not looking forward to Christmas this year.

Join us for our annual Carol Service in York Minster. All are welcome so do be inviting friends and neighbours.

Doors will open at 6:45pm and the service will start at 7:30pm and last for around an hour. We’ll spend time hearing from the Word, singing carols and more.

Across the day, Greg Downes will be coming to speak to us and we’d love to encourage people to be inviting friends, neighbours, family and any others we know that don’t yet know Jesus. This service will be particularly aimed at those exploring faith or who don’t yet know Jesus.
