Our 4pm service will be an interactive, Messy Church style Christingle, with activities, crafts, story and carols. Everyone is welcome, but especially suitable for pre-school/young primary aged children.
Our 5:30pm service will be a more traditional family-friendly Christingle service, with carols and a short talk.

We are excited this year to be heading to the Waterfront Restaurant, Naburn Marina, for our festive gathering.
On Thursday 5 December it would be lovely to have you join us at 12 noon (no earlier please if you can) for a welcome drink, with the two course Christmas meal served at 12.30 pm (the bar will be open for you to buy your own drinks). There are various meal options, please see the menu below, where you can choose from a starter, main and dessert. The price is £30pp and please let us know if you have any food allergies.

To celebrate the end of first term, the Student team are putting on their annual Christmas Party. Theme to be revealed but they’ll be music, dancing, food and festive fun.

Christmas 2023 is almost here and Debs Stephens and the Belfrey Seniors' are excited to invite you to their Christmas event.
On Friday 1st December the De Grey Rooms will host the Belfrey Seniors' annual Christmas event from 11am.
There will be lights, music, a light lunch, carol singing, Christmas quiz, creative activities and a Christmas reflection.

Christmas always seems to be accompanied by jolly songs, ringing bells, and the expectation that you will have a good time. But that’s not how it feels for many people. Maybe your year has been hard – for whatever reason (bereavement, illness, estrangement, worry) – and Christmas seems to highlight the difficulties. Or maybe in an over busy life, you just want space to reflect, recall and regroup.
Whatever the reason, whatever the need, you are so welcome here. We hope that you will find the space, and hope, which the Christmas story offers.
Our Carol Service is approaching fast and once again we are heading across the road to York Minster for what will be a beautiful, joy-filled carol service.
The last 18 months have been challenging to everyone, but Christmas is a season remembering the hope, the joy and light that came into a dark world…Jesus Christ! Our Carol service will be full of that same hope, joy and light as we point to Jesus through Carols, Songs, Readings, Riding Lights Theatre Company and the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell.
But we need our church community to get involved to help as many people hear about this event. So…
Our Carol Service is an opportunity for many to gather safely and celebrate the JOY that overflows from Christmas. We’re partnering with Riding Lights Theatre Company and the Archbishop of York as we want to share that message of Joy creatively and with as many people as possible. So share this page with as many people as you can, grab free invitations from our church building and book yourself a free ticket below. We’d love to see as many people as possible at our wonderful event!
The Carol Service is completely free but we have 750 seats in the Minster and we want to make sure everyone is safe, looked after and feels like covid guidelines are being followed. You can book individual tickets, and add groups, but please if you end up changing your booking, let us know so no one misses out. The capacity is reduced so we can keep people distanced and with that in mind, we anticipate the tickets to go quickly.
Sometimes the Minster can be a little cold, so wrap up warm. We plan the service to be no longer than 75 minutes so you don’t get too chilly!
We’ll be looking after people as you queue to get in, so get ready for a festive welcome and warm drinks. We love to share the joy at every possible time!
If you’ve never been to a carol service before, don’t worry, its a fun mix of songs you sing along, performances to listen to and to pause for thought with the legendary Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell.
