York Neighbours
York Neighbours was started as a way of supporting older people, over the age of 65, in York. It was founded by members of our church family at The Belfrey in 2012 as “Belfrey Neighbours”.
There are three main ways the charity supports people:
Help with practical one-off jobs, including for example help with technology and IT issues, and especially through the pandemic, help with shopping
A regular phone call or socially distanced chats
Individual and group outings, supporting people to get to and from venues (when this is once again allowed through Covid rules).

To give through Prayer:
We’d love you to pray at this time for the physical health and wellbeing of those who use our services, particularly that people keep safe from Covid infection.
We’d also love you to pray for the emotional wellbeing and health of our service users particularly those struggling with isolation and loneliness.
Finally for now we’d love you to pray for the on-going work of York Neighbours, that we may be able to continue to grow and impact the lives of older people in need in York.
