street Angels York
Street Angels York is an initiative started by One Voice, a collective of churches in York. It is made up of volunteers who want to help make York city centre a safer and better place. Male and female volunteers walk the city streets into the early hours on Friday and Saturday nights caring for, practically helping and listening to people, especially those in vulnerable or difficult situations.
To give through prayer: Pray for more Christian volunteers to give their time and skills, and for the protection and safety of volunteers helping in York.
To give financially: You can make a donation to support the work of Street Angels York via their website: streetangelsyork.com/index.html
To give your time and skills: Street Angels York are recruiting volunteers for when they hope to resume their work in June as restrictions ease. Anyone over the age of 18 can apply.
