​​Advancing Digital Inclusion with IT ReUse Project

IT ReUse is a dynamic project based in York with a tri-fold mission: advancing digital inclusion, promoting environmentalism, and facilitating the reuse of IT equipment, relying on generous donations of IT equipment from the public and local businesses. They work with a team of dedicated community workers who distribute this equipment to individuals who might otherwise be excluded from vital digital resources, all at no cost.

We at the Belfrey are proud to have a collection in our church entrance for some time now, and have donated many pre-loved pieces of IT equipment. 

 To give through Prayer

  • Pray for Generosity: IT Reuse rely on the generosity of both the public and local businesses to donate unused IT equipment. Pray that individuals and companies alike will take the time to search their homes and offices for unwanted equipment and make the decision to donate it, thus contributing to bridging the digital divide in York.

  • Pray for Volunteers: Their work is made possible by the dedication and passion of our volunteers. Pray that more people, eager to share their existing IT skills or to learn new ones, will step forward and join the cause. They need all hands on deck to achieve our mission of total digital inclusion.

  • Pray for Beneficiaries: Keep in your thoughts the many individuals in York who currently lack access to digital resources. Pray that IT Reuse’s efforts will reach them and that through the donated equipment, they will be able to connect to the online world, access important services, and enhance their digital skills.

  • Pray for Growth and Sustainability: As they work tirelessly to expand our services, they hope for continual growth and sustainability of the IT ReUse Project. Pray that they continue to receive funding and resources necessary to advance our mission.

Remember, every prayer, like every piece of IT equipment, makes a difference. Together, we can ensure that everyone in York has access to the digital resources they need.

To donate IT equipment: 

  • please visit their donations page for details of what they can accept

  • Print off a donations form (or pick one up from the donations box)

  • Bring your item(s) into church and ask a churchwarden or member of the Welcome team to show you where the donations box is.
