Mission Partner: James and Tasha
James and Tasha serve among Arabic-speaking refugees in the Middle East.
The Syrian Civil War and the unrest which has followed it continue to have widespread consequences across the Arab World. According to UNHCR, 5 million Syrians have been forced to leave their homeland with many of these people seeking safety and asylum within the Middle East.
The needs on both a practical and spiritual level are significant. Together with a local team, James and Tasha are working predominantly with Syrian refugees. Their vision and heart is to present the hope and love of Jesus Christ to their city at every opportunity. They are part of training and encouraging the local church in discipleship as well as offering practical aid to the wider refugee community.
They also hold a deep commitment to encouraging the growth of prayer and worship in the region.
The Middle East is a vital and strategic location in which to pray. They recognise the importance of gathering in unity with others to proclaim Jesus as Lord and to pray for His Kingdom to come. Namely that broken lives would be healed and restored, peace would break out and that the region as a whole would be transformed by the presence of a loving God.
