Free debt advice
We partner with the award-winning national charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to deliver a free debt advice service to people struggling with unmanageable debt.

Emergency food
Each Saturday we partner with York Foodbank to run a food distribution session at the De Grey Rooms from 10am till 12pm. This is to provide emergency food for local people in crisis, and a welcoming place to sit and talk with members of our team. You’ll need to have a voucher issued to you in order to access this service. You can find out how to get a voucher here.
Affordable counselling
Affordable, professional counselling is available to anyone aged 18+ in York through our Wellspring Counselling Centre at the De Grey Rooms. You can find out more and make a self-referral here.
Mental Health Parish Nursing
Our mission is to support people to improve and maintain their mental health and overall well-being by offering access to nurse-led information, education, support and advice to people in the Belfrey based congregation, our social action transformation partners and beyond. More information here.
Support for families
We run a family befriending service in partnership with Safe Families UK. Through referrals from local schools, we match volunteers with families in the community, to provide support and friendship We have two partner schools already signed up: Westfield Primary School and Copmanthorpe Primary School.
