The Belfrey is proud to partner with the award winning debt help charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to provide free debt help for those in York who find themselves with unmanageable debt. Anna Druzic, our CAP debt centre manager, visits individuals and families with befrienders from our and other churches to support them out of debt.

The debt centre is always interested in taking on new befrienders, who accompany a debt coach during home visits, offering words of encouragement to the individuals who often feel hopeless, guided by the Holy Spirit and within safeguarding guidelines, you can offer emotional and practical support outside visits.
the main role requirements:
are having in your heart God’s desire to gently but with power transform lives of people living with debt
being available a few hours a month during “office hours”
