Visiting St Michael's
St Michael le Belfrey is situated right next to York Minster. It's the largest building in the area, so you shouldn't have too much difficulty finding us. Our church office, The Parish Centre, is just around the corner, opposite the South entrance to the Minster and Constantine's statue.
Visitors are more than welcome at any of our services. You can also visit the historic building of St Michael's during the day. Owing to its city centre location and rich heritage, St Michael's is a popular tourist attraction. We try to keep the church open as often as we can, but this depends on volunteers to staff it, so it's a good idea to contact the church office first to make sure there will be someone there before making a special trip.
Between the hours of 11am and 4pm the roads around the church are pedestrianised. There is no public parking on the streets surrounding St Michael's - the nearest parking is in the Pay & Display car parks on Bootham or St Leonard's Place.
