Regional mission
As the vision grows for God's transformation of the North, so our commitment to the North strengthens. We support mission in the North through prayer, partnerships and participation.
We pray regularly for the North.
We partner with organisations including New Wine N&E and Fresh Streams (formerly Mainstream), as well as with other key churches in the North.
We partcipate fully in the life of the Diocese of York (which stretches from the Tees to the Humber) and aim to work with others who share the vision of a revived region. In particular, Roger Simpson is the Archbishop's Evangelist to the Northern Province, committed to working with local churches to reach towns and cities and rural areas with the Good News of Jesus Christ: Roger says:
"Working with the clergy and ministers in an area, we like to work across the denominations and look for prayer movements amongst the leaders in an area. We work with lay teams and help prepare the churches in the area for the mission. We welcome invitations and are very keen to serve God's transformation of the North. It's been very exciting over the last year to see God opening doors for mission and to see lives changed."
The Belfrey also provides a home for the northern headquarters of some key mission agencies, including:

We've pulled together some resources for the More Than Gold mission week. There are some training videos by One Voice York, a short series on apologetics from Jim Roberts and if you're really stuck for ideas, we've got some of those as well.James Fletcher
