Morning Worship

Meeting 9.00am on Sundays at St Michael le Belfrey, we try to be a welcoming congregation with weekly services lasting around an hour and a quarter.

Amongst our numbers you will find retired folk and students, young families and singles, and couples of all ages worshipping together using a wide variety of musical styles. Our choir and small chamber orchestra take it in turns to lead the worship, both groups incorporating hymns old and new, contemporary worship songs and music from around the world. From time to time you may find yourself singing in two or three parts, or even short phrases in a foreign language, as we celebrate being part of God's church throughout the world.

We are privileged to be led and taught from the Bible by our clergy and team of lay-leaders. Past sermon series include Worship (looking at the psalms), Discipleship, and Wisdom (from Proverbs). Once a month we focus on praying for and supporting one of our Mission Partners.

We enjoy fellowship over refreshments in the Belfrey Hall after each service, as well as during special events such as garden parties, picnics, autumn walks and talks by guest speakers. All our gatherings are suitable for bringing friends along to, as we aim to be an outward-looking congregation.

Come along and join us - we trust you'll find the early start is worth it!
