G2 is a satellite congregation of St Michael le Belfrey Church which meets at Burnholme Community College on Sunday afternoon and during the week in Cells and Clusters around the city. G2 is a part of St Michael le Belfrey and our vision is to help people discover and follow Jesus Christ.

On Sunday you are welcome to arrive from 3.45pm onwards where you’ll find a cup of half-decent coffee awaiting you! Our meeting starts at 4pm where the theme of the meeting will be explained followed by some music and worship – feel free at this point to join in or just listen. The main part of the meeting is an interactive talk based on a passage from the Bible with an opportunity to discuss around the tables our thoughts and opinions. The meeting will end with a prayer and yet more coffee!

Children, especially lively ones, are very welcome at G2! All the children are usually with us for the first part of the meeting before they go to their own clubs which are split by age range. Youth activities are varied and there is usually a dedicated youth-table.

Pre-school children are welcome to stay in the meeting with their parents and use the crèche area in the corner of the room, where there will usually be an additional helper on duty and plenty of toys and books to play with.

We have a large and very active group of students, including international students, and many students get involved with the running and leading of G2.

During the week cells meet around the city. Cells are small groups where people chat, make friends and discuss thoughts from the Sunday meeting or other topics. About once a month Cells gather together in Clusters for an activity.
