St Michael le Belfrey is part of the Church of England. This means we worship the one true God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), profess the faith uniquely revealed in the Bible, value the historic creeds and are called to mission - proclaiming afresh our faith in each generation.

We are part of the (local) Deanery of York, the (regional) Diocese of York and the (national) Church Of England.

We are led by our Vicar and clergy and governed by our Wardens and Church Council (PCC).

We contribute fully to the life and mission of the Diocese of York, encouraging mutual resourcing at every level for the purpose of serving God's transformation of the North.
